intelligent bleeping for medical professionals

A new International study, entitled "Evaluating Processes of Care & the Outcomes of Children in Hospital (EPOCH): a Cluster Randomized Trial of the Bedside Paediatric Early Warning System” has recently been announced.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of Bedside Paediatric Early Warning System (Bedside-PEWS) on early identification of children at risk for near and actual cardiopulmonary arrest, hospital mortality, processes of care and PICU resource utilization.
This will be a study by 22 International Paediatric Hospitals. iBleep has been identified by one of our clients, where our Paediatric Early Warning Scores (PEWS) are in daily use by the Paediatric team.
iBleep is delighted to be asked to assist. During the last 3 months, we have been preparing and publishing new reporting tools that leverage the evidence that is available from our clients call history. This data will be analysed by a designated research co-ordinator and a team of research nurses. The data collection will continue for approximately 20 months before the final study by the research review committee.
iBleep Observation/PEWS scoring algorithms were built according to a strict set of rules designed and qualified by the University of Auckland and are part of a suite of specialty-based and age-range based algorithms (EWS, MEWS, PEWS) that have been built into the core product.
iBleep provides the function of establishing individual early warning scores across a range of 30 specialties and 6 unique age ranges of patient
Each of these functions are switchable within the iBleep interface according to the specialty of the ward - the ward raising the iBleep call.
